History

Following the closure of Lakewood Heights United Methodist Church (LHUMC) in 2003, the historic Lakewood Church of Hope building sat vacant for ten years amid a decline in the surrounding community. Through faith and perseverance, Lakewood Church of Hope (LCH) emerged a decade later, opening its doors to a welcoming community in dire need.

Outreach

The driving force for outreach is Matthew 9:36-38: But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

Ministry

We are a congregation that worships every Sunday at 11:00 AM. Our services are CAYA (Come As You Are). In addition to worship services, there are many ways to become involved in the life of our church.
